Forge Studio: Create, edit, and publish courses

Forge Studio: Create, edit, and publish courses

Forge Studio is the course-building workspace inside Vibe Academy. This guide covers that product; the separate Course Forge service is a different workspace.

Open Forge Studio

Sign in to Vibe Academy and open Forge Studio from the app navigation. Instructors can also start from Instructor Dashboard → New Course → Create in Forge.

You can use Forge Studio to build a new course or ask it to edit a course you own or are authorized to change. New Forge courses are saved as free, unpublished drafts so you can review them before students see them.

If Forge Studio is unavailable in your account, ask an administrator about access. If you do not have instructor privileges yet, use the instructor interest form. The team reviews applications and will contact you; submitting the form does not immediately grant instructor or monetization approval.

Create a new course

  1. Choose Create New.
  2. Describe the course in the prompt. Include the subject, intended learners, learning goals, and any structure or depth you want. You can ask for a section or lesson count, or request a deep dive.
  3. Add your background if it will help tailor the course. This is optional.
  4. Optionally attach relevant reference files from your device or file library. Upload only material you have permission to use, and avoid confidential or sensitive information.
  5. Leave web search on if you want Forge Studio to use grounded sources, or turn it off.
  6. Select Create Course and follow the live outline and build progress. Longer builds can continue in the background; you can return to Forge Studio or your course list later.

When the build is complete, review the course and its lessons. The course is still a draft. Instructors can choose Edit course to open the course editor; the course is also available under Instructor Dashboard → My Courses.

Edit an existing course

  1. Choose Edit Existing.
  2. Select a course from the list. Only choose a course you own or have permission to edit.
  3. Describe the change you want in concrete terms. For example, ask Forge Studio to add a quiz after a named lesson, revise a learning outcome, or expand a specific section.
  4. Attach reference files if they are relevant, then select Start Editing.
  5. Follow the progress and review the updated course. Check the affected sections and lessons before publishing.

For large courses, specify the section or lesson you want changed when possible. If you want broad changes, list the outcomes you expect so Forge Studio can work through the relevant course sections. You can also make detailed manual changes from the course editor.

Review and publish a free course

Before publishing, check the title, summary, learning outcomes, curriculum, and any lesson materials. To open the editor, go to Instructor Dashboard → My Courses and select Edit on the course.

To publish:

  1. Open Instructor Dashboard → My Courses.
  2. Open the course’s action menu and choose Publish.
  3. Confirm that its status changes from Draft to Published.

Free courses can be published without creator monetization approval. To publish a course for free, set its course type to Free in Course details before publishing.

Sign up for creator monetization

Creator monetization is for personal instructor courses. It is separate from instructor access: an administrator must approve your creator account before you can set prices or start Stripe onboarding.

  1. Open Instructor Dashboard → Monetization.
  2. If the page says Admin approval required, contact a Vibe Academy administrator and ask them to review your creator monetization access. The onboarding button is unavailable until approval is granted.
  3. After approval, select Start Stripe onboarding. Complete the secure Stripe-hosted setup and provide any requested identity, business, or payout information there.
  4. Return to the Monetization page. Paid publishing is available only when the page shows that payments and payouts are ready and there are no outstanding requirements.

The current personal creator program is for approved U.S. creators and supports USD course pricing. The Monetization page shows the current fee and payout details. Stripe collects and verifies payout information; do not send bank details to Vibe Academy support.

Publish a paid course

Only instructors with creator monetization approval can add or increase a personal course price. Paid publishing also requires a ready Stripe account with payments and payouts enabled.

  1. Complete the approval and Stripe setup steps above.
  2. In Instructor Dashboard → My Courses, select Edit on the course.
  3. Open Course details, choose Paid, and set the USD price.
  4. Save the course, review its content, and return to My Courses.
  5. Open the course’s action menu and choose Publish.

If paid publishing is blocked, return to Monetization, refresh the status, and resolve any approval or Stripe requirements shown there. You can still publish the course for free by changing its course type to Free; this clears the course price.

Company-published courses use the company’s legal-organization seller setup rather than an individual instructor’s personal monetization account. Ask your company administrator about company seller approval and payout setup.
